Nonmonotonicity in Trust Management
نویسنده
چکیده
The work discusses nonmonotonicity in terms of trust management systems and presents model allowing for credential revocation in the Rolebased Trust-management Framework. A freshness constraints have been adopted into RT Framework in order to overcome nonmonotonicity and turn it to be temporarily monotonic. The proposed model allows for freshness requirements specification on policy level and utilises freshness graph in order to perform propagation of freshness requirements along credential chains. Finally, an evaluation of the model against real-life scenario has been performed.

A New Class of Nonmonotone Adaptive Trust-region Methods for Nonlinear Equations with Box Constraints
A nonmonotone trust-region method for the solution of nonlinear systems of equations with box constraints is considered. The method differs from existing trust-region methods both in using a new nonmonotonicity strategy in order to accept the current step and by using a new updating technique for the trust-region-radius. The overall method is shown to be globally convergent. Moreover, when comb...
متن کاملNonmonotonicity, User Interfaces, and Risk Assessment in Certificate Revocation (Position Paper)
We consider certificate revocation from three high-level perspectives: temporal nonmonotonicity, user interfaces, and risk management. We argue that flawed understanding of these three aspects of revocation schemes has caused these schemes to be unnecessarily costly, complex, and confusing. We also comment briefly on some previous works, including those of Rivest [16], Fox and LaMacchia [5], an...

متن کاملDisTriB: Distributed Trust Management Model Based on Gossip Learning and Bayesian Networks in Collaborative Computing Systems
The interactions among peers in Peer-to-Peer systems as a distributed collaborative system are based on asynchronous and unreliable communications. Trust is an essential and facilitating component in these interactions specially in such uncertain environments. Various attacks are possible due to large-scale nature and openness of these systems that affects the trust. Peers has not enough inform...
متن کاملA Novel Trust Management Model in the Social Internet of Things
The Internet of Things (IoT) and social networking integration, create a new concept named Social Internet of Things (SIoT) according to which the things are able to autonomously establish social relationships with regard to the owners. Things in SIoT operate according to a service-oriented architecture. There may be misbehaving owners and consequently misbehaving devices that can perform harmf...
